Carmen Campanelli, M.D. FAAD
Dr. Carmen Campanelli is a highly skilled and experienced dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed his dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
He went on to attain fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery at the Center for Laser and Dermatologic Surgery through an affiliation with Columbia University Medical College. With over 20,000 Mohs cases for skin cancer under his belt, Dr. Campanelli is a respected authority in the field.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Campanelli has been an assistant clinical professor for over 15 years, teaching residents how to perform surgery for Sidney Kimmel Medical College (formerly known as Jefferson Medical College). He has also held an appointment at the University of Pennsylvania for nine years and ran a resident surgery clinic at the Philadelphia VA hospital. For his dedication to resident education, he has been awarded teaching awards by both universities.
Dr. Campanelli is Board Certified in both Mohs micrographic surgery and Dermatology, and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons, and the American Academy of Dermatology. He has more than a dozen publications in the dermatologic medical journals. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his four children and wife of over 20 years.
